On November 22, 2023, auctions for RES for the Northern and Southern zones of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the selection of hydroelectric power plant projects with a total installed capacity of 30 MW were held.

According to the results of the trading session, 14 companies were allowed to participate in the auction, during the trading session, 302 price proposals were submitted by the participants. The declared total capacity from the auction participants amounted to 50.4 MW.

In accordance with subparagraph 1) paragraph 55 of the Rules for the organization and conduct of auctions, the volume of selection of installed capacity increased from 30 to 31.9 MW.

The starting maximum auction price during the auction for the selection of HPP projects in 2023 was 41.23 tg/kWh (excluding VAT).

During the trading session, the reduction in the price range of bids received from auction participants ranged from 41.23 to 19.8 tenge/kWh (excluding VAT).

According to the results of the auction , the following companies were identified as winners:

• «FTR-Green-LTD» LLP the installed capacity of the project is 2.4 MW, the auction price is 19.8 tg/kWh (without VAT);
• «Turan Energy» LLP the installed capacity of the project is 2.5 MW, the auction price is 19.88 tg/kWh (without VAT);
• «TK-Most XXI» LLP the installed capacity of the project is 4.9 MW, the auction price is 20.35 tg/kWh (without VAT);
• «Electrical Energy» LLP the installed capacity of the project is 3.2 MW, the auction price is 20.36 tg/kWh (without VAT);
• «Yntymak-Energo» LLP the installed capacity of the project is 2 MW, the auction price is 22.35 tg/kWh (without VAT);
• Production cooperative «RCC «Yntymak» the installed capacity of the project is 3.5 MW, the auction price is 22.36 tg/kWh (without VAT);
• «Azhur» LLP the installed capacity of the project is 2 MW, the auction price is 23 tg/kWh (without VAT);
• «Koksu Kuat» LLP the installed capacity of the project is 4.5 MW, the auction price is 25.44 tg/kWh (without VAT);
• RSE on REM «Kazvodhoz» WMH MWRI RK the installed capacity of the project is 2 MW, the auction price is 25.89 tg/kWh (without VAT);
• «Ulken Qaqpaq Hydro» LLP the installed capacity of the project is 4.9 MW, the auction price is 26.9 tg/kWh (without VAT)

Representatives of NCE «Atameken», ALE «KAZENERGY», ALE Association of RES «Qazaq Green» and EBRD took part in the auction as observers. The observers noted the holding of auctions in accordance with the approved regulatory legal acts and confirmed the transparency of the electronic trading system of the auction organizer – JSC «KOREM».

It should be noted that according to the Auction Schedule, 2 auctions were held this year on the type of small hydroelectric power plants for the Northern and Southern zones of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The next auction is scheduled for November 23, 2023 for the selection of solar power plant projects in the Western zone of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a total installed capacity of 20 MW.
